Brian Goldenberg (Artistic Producer)
For Angelwalk Theatre: Altar Boyz, The Last Five Years, [title of show], Songs for a New World
Brian is the founding Artistic Producer for Angelwalk Theatre. A two-time graduate of York University (BFA in Music, Schulich MBA) in Toronto, he works professionally as a theatre producer, music director, songwriter and performer. Brian is also the Artistic Producer for Vanier College Productions at York University, has worked as the Assistant Producer for Acting Up Stage Company (The Light In The Piazza, A New Brain, Edges) and as a business consultant for Dancap Productions. He was the producer for the Future Aces 50th Anniversary Gala at the Toronto Centre for the Arts, featuring Michael “Pinball” Clemons, The Nathaniel Dett Chorale and CTV’s Marci Ien. Brian has performed for many years on both piano and trumpet, and currently performs regularly with his Brass Quintet, Magnus Brass. As a songwriter, Brian won first-place in an In Front Magazine Music Contest for his song “Music Will Always Lead Me Home”, and wrote the music and additional lyrics for the Herbert H. Carnegie Future Aces Foundation Theme Song. His original musical, Seven of Us made its Toronto debut in the 2010 Toronto Fringe Festival. Anthony Bastianon (Musical Director)
For Angelwalk Theatre: [title of show], Songs for a New World
Anthony has been the resident musical director at Stage West for 12 years where he has performed in 40 productions including: The Wedding Singer, The Producers, and The Full Monty. Other credits include: Myths and Hymns (Talk Is Free Theatre); Seussical (Theatre Aquarius); Footloose (Stage West Calgary); You'll Get Used To It (Stirling Festival); Man Of La Mancha and Fiddler On The Roof (Port Hope Festival); Joseph (Drayton Entertainment). Compositions include: Nursery School Musical (2008 Toronto Fringe and U.S. premiere in Houston 2009), Decameron (workshops in Toronto & Sheridan College), Creation (touring children’s show), and incidental music for numerous productions such as Lysistrata, The Hypochondriac, and A Midsummer Night's Dream. As a conductor, pianist, educator and composer, Anthony enjoys a variety of work in recitals, concerts and master classes. Anthony also works with young people at the Sheridan College Music Theatre program and co-founded the award-winning Mississauga Youth Theatre in 1990. He received his B.Mus. and M.Ed from Queen’s University and resides in Mississauga with his wife and two young children. |
