Tim French (Director / Choreographer)

Tim is very excited to be exploring his inner rocker and reliving the golden years of the Boyband craze in the Toronto premiere of Altar Boyz. As a Director/Choreographer, his credits include: Dreamgirls (Stage West Calgary/Theatre Aquarius/Manitoba Theatre Centre/Grand Theatre); Evita (Manitoba Theatre Centre/Theatre Calgary); Kiss Me Kate, Harvest Moon Rising (talkisfree Theatre); Camelot, Me And My Girl, Carousel, Damn Yankees and The Boyfriend (Drayton Festival/Huron Country Playhouse/St. Jacobs Playhouse); A Chorus Line * (Stage West Calgary); You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown and I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change (Grand Theatre); Smokey Joe's Cafe, Footloose (Stage West Mississauga/Calgary). He has worked as a Choreographer on: The Mystery of Edwin Drood (Shaw Festival); Guys and Dolls and Camelot * (Manitoba Theatre Centre/Theatre Calgary/Citadel Theatre); Lady Be Good (Manitoba Theatre Centre); Gypsy (Neptune Theatre); Cabaret (Grand Theatre/Manitoba Theatre Centre); A Little Night Music *** (Grand Theatre/Canadian Stage); The Music Man ** (Citadel Theatre). Scott Christian (Music Director)
|
Scott Christian is thrilled to be musical directing Angelwalk’s inaugural show, Altar Boyz. Scott has been working in various aspects of musical theatre in Toronto and the GTA for almost ten years. He composed and performed the music for Politically Correct Bedtime Stories, winner of 2009’s Best of Fringe. Scott is currently developing a new musical theatre work, “Our Meltdown” to be mounted in 2010. Altar Boyz fuses some of his guiltiest pleasures – musical theatre, 90’s pop music and irreverence. Scott is a graduate of the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Music for piano and composition.

Brian Goldenberg (Artistic Producer)
|
Brian Goldenberg is the founding Artistic Producer for Angelwalk Theatre. A two-time graduate of York University (BFA in Music, Schulich MBA) in Toronto, he works professionally as a theatre producer, music director, songwriter and performer. Brian is the Assistant Producer for Acting Up Stage Theatre Company, where he assisted in producing the Toronto premieres of both Edges: A Song Cycle and A New Brain last season. He is also the Producer and Musical Director for Vanier College Productions at York University, and has worked as a business consultant for Dancap Productions. Brian was the producer for the Future Aces 50th Anniversary Gala at the Toronto Centre for the Arts, featuring Michael “Pinball” Clemons, The Nathaniel Dett Chorale and CTV’s Marci Ien. As a songwriter, Brian won first-place in an In Front Magazine Music Contest for his song “Music Will Always Lead Me Home”, and wrote the music and additional lyrics for the Herbert H. Carnegie Future Aces Foundation Theme Song. His original musical, Seven of Us, was premiered in 2004. Brian has performed for many years on both piano and trumpet, and currently performs regularly with his Brass Quintet, Magnus Brass. An experienced producer and music director, select theatre credits include: Urinetown, Les Misérables School Edition, Little Women, Into the Woods, A Chorus Line, West Side Story, and Chess.

Kevin Horton (Assistant Producer) |
Kevin is a founding member and Assistant Producer for Angelwalk Theatre. He holds an MBA from York University and graduated from the Seneca Theatre Performing Arts program. An avid performer, Kevin is also an active supporter of the Toronto theatre community, having held Board positions and participated in Tarragon Theatre’s Young Patrons Committee.

Dayna Chernoff (Production / Stage Manager)
|
Dayna Chernoff has been an active member of the theatre community for many years, having studied theatre at York University, as well as having participated in a number of shows both on and off stage. Past assistant/stage management credits include A New Brain (Acting Up Stage), Seven of Us (Markham Youth Theatre), Little Women: The Broadway Musical (Steppin’ Out Theatrical Productions), and most recently Les Miserables (Steppin’ Out) for which she was also choreographer. On stage credits include …Of Enigmatic Things (Charcoal Sketch Productions), Into the Woods and The Rocky Horror Show (Markham Youth Theatre). Dayna is delighted to be a part of Angelwalk Theatre’s premier production and is grateful for the opportunity to be working with such a talented cast and crew.

Davida Tkach
|
Davida is thrilled to be working with the Angelwalk Theatre on their premiere production. She is blessed to work with such a talented production team and cast. Previous credits include: Black Medea, Late, Crime and Punishment, The Nutcracker, Guys and Dolls and Three Penny Opera. Davida has also designed for several dance shows and workshops throughout Toronto and Montreal. Davida recently completed her third season as an Assistant Lighting Designer at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival. Stratford credits include: A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Julius Caesar, Trojan Women, Love’s Labour’s Lost, Fuente Ovejuna, Othello, Of Mice and Men, and A Delicate Balance. Davida is a graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada. |
