Brian Goldenberg (Artistic & Executive Director) | brian@angelwalk.ca
A two-time graduate of York University (Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Music, Masters of Business Administration with specialization in Arts and Media Management), Brian works professionally as a theatre producer, music director, songwriter/arranger, performer (piano, trumpet, voice), and educator. He has worked as a Business Consultant for Dancap Productions, the Director of Business and Development for the Herbert H. Carnegie Future Aces Foundation, Assistant Producer at Acting Up Stage Company, founding Artistic Producer for Angelwalk Theatre, and the Executive Director for Theatre 20. For the past eight years, Brian has served as the Artistic Director/Producer for Vanier College Productions at York University. As a songwriter, Brian won first-place in an In Front Magazine Music Contest for his song “Music Will Always Lead Me Home”, and wrote the music and additional lyrics for the Herbert H. Carnegie Future Aces Foundation Theme Song. His original musical, Seven of Us made its Toronto debut in the 2010 Toronto Fringe Festival. Brian is a recipient of the Herbert H. Carnegie Future Aces Citizenship Award, the Herbert H. Carnegie Future Aces Foundation Aces in Action Award, and three SINGular Sensation BackDoora Awards for contributions to the Toronto theatre community.

Danny Sylvan is a theatre actor, playwright, director and producer. His acting credits include Des/Kai/Devon in There Is No Maybe, Albert/Kevin in Clybourne Park, Angel/Ensemble in Rent, and most recently, Dan Goodman in a production of Next to Normal. Danny is completing his undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre and Performance, with a specific study in the field of playwriting and new play dramaturgy. From 2017 to 2018, Danny worked closely with film project Beyond That Night as a Production Assistant, and completed a successful season as outgoing Company Manager for Vanier College Productions from 2018 to 2019. Aside from directing independent projects written by himself, Danny Assistant Directed The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee which mounted in November 2019 at Vanier College Productions. Most recently, Danny has worked with Angelwalk Theatre as Production & Marketing Assistant during our 10th season and looks forward to his continued opportunities working with Angelwalk as Assistant Producer.

Alene Degian is a Toronto-based actor and producer who graduated with a background in Finance and French from the University of Western Ontario. Throughout her schooling, she was actively involved in the theatre community, both directing and acting, she decided to pursue it professionally post-graduation. Since then, she has studied film, improv, and voice with various teachers, both in Toronto and New York. She has worked with Stratford Festival and Shaw Festival veterans as an emerging artist in Theatre20’s Conservatory Program, followed by a summer at The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in New York City. More recently, she completed an apprenticeship in arts administration for the next generation of female leaders in Canadian theatre through Shadowpath Theatre. She was also in the North American premiere of the beloved classic Bend It Like Beckham, at the St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts. Currently, Alene is completing a post-grad program in Content Strategy at Humber College. She is excited to be part of the dynamic team at Angelwalk Theatre.
